　　徐天陪着铁林去仙乐斯查案，看着这些蛛丝马迹，徐天明白了犯案人的作案手法，可是看着这些作案工具留下的痕迹，他心里不由得心里一颤，因为他想起了往日在家里的一些细节，神秘的方嫂、受伤的方长青、田丹向老胡要去的胶水、老马被买走的剃头刀，还有现场发现的作案人落在那里的金刚钻，他越想越怕，因为他已经发现心中那个不想承认的事情已经越来越清晰，这次老料之死，策划做案的竟是田丹……　　方长青夫妇决定以后的行动不让再田丹参加，田丹以后只是长青药店的药剂师。她虽然聪明，对他们有恩，但没受过专业训练，他们怕田丹泄露一切。方长青夫妇终于接到下一个任务，他们决定瞒住田丹，准备亲自制造下一场意外刺杀长谷。方长青自己来到长谷活动的地方踩点。　　根据方太太的举止，徐天已经知道料啸林是方长青夫妇杀的，而这件事情的唯一解释就是长青药店是国军方面的一个机构。徐天为他们送回方氏夫妇落在作案现场的证据——金刚钻。至于田丹，特殊的训练能够让徐天在最短时间准确识别一个人，一年的相处更让徐天相信，田丹只是瞒了一些事罢了，她绝不是专门的特务人员。　　徐天找到金爷，让他帮忙弄出放在捕房的那批药。金爷满口答应。他让金刚去松徐天。金刚去送皮鞋上油。徐天看见了打起金刚皮鞋的注意。　　徐天知道铁林一样看见了仙乐斯的蛛丝马迹。现在以铁林的分析能力，他肯定能看出这绝非一场意外，而是人为造成的暗杀事件。如果让铁林查出主谋是田丹，以铁林的脾气……徐天决定他要替田丹遮掩，让铁林把怀疑的方向转向金爷和金刚，这也是铁林唯一能够走过场结案的最好办法。
